Can I set theCustomer StatusandProspectStatusthrough a CSV import into Sell? When I imported a CSV file of customers, all of their statuses defaulted tonon-customer. Why didn't the status update?
Answer
TheCustomer StatusandProspect Statusof your Sell contacts will update automatically based on the status of deals associated with the contact. While these fields cannot be updated by importing a CSV file, they can be updated through the API or manually updated in specific situations.
For example, theCustomer Statuswill be set toCurrent Customerwhen a won deal is associated with the contact.

I've been wracking my brain with this same question for over a year, and I found a workaround to update the customer status using a CSV, without having to pay for a third-party integration.
This is the process:

Even if you delete the deal that initially labeled the contact a current customer, this doesn't revert the contact's status as a customer.
