    To remove the option for customers to sign up, but you still want to keep the ability for anyone to contact, you can follow the steps mentioned on the article you've referenceHow can I completely hide the sign up button from my help center?

    As of the moment, we don't have the settings in Guide like a checkbox to remove the ability for end users to create an account but you can post this as a feature request infeedback forum.
